How did this whole thing begin and at what age?

I have been singing all my life. When I was growing up we constantly had music playing from the Beach Boys, Beatles, to Reba McEntire. So I would have to say that I started singing or at least babbling to music when I wasn't even old enough to walk.

Has your family and friends supported you the whole way?

My family and friends are awesome supporters of my music. My family goes with me to every show that I do and my friends make it to as many shows as they can as well. It's nice to be able to see them out in the crowd when I sing.

Who do you consider to be your biggest inspiration?

My biggest inspiration would have to be Martina McBride. She's the one that really got me into country music. She's such a little gal with a big voice and I admire that about her. She's humble and down to earth and I think that that's really important to have in this business.

How has juggling your personal life and your dream of being successful in the music industry effected you?

It's really hard to keep a normal job. haha. The summer time is the busiest time for me with shows and everything so we're constantly practicing during the week and doing shows on the weekends. Finding time for a spare job is pretty hard. When I was in school it worked out perfectly. I'd go to school during the week and play on the weekends.

How did your band form?

The band actually came to me. They were already a band, just with a different name and they had seen me perform at a show and were interested in finding a female country singer and I was in interested in finding a great band so we kind of found each other at the right time.

Who writes the majority of your material?

I get a lot of my material from my record label. They pitch songs to me and if I like the song then we will record it. I have had songs written by Liz Rose (Taylor swift's co-writer), Mark Narmore (has written songs for Craig Morgan), and Rachel Proctor (has written songs for Martina McBride). They're all amazing at what they do and I feel so blessed to have been able to record the songs that they have written.
Give us one crazy story of your journey to make it to the top.

I don't really have any crazy stores. There are some crazy people though! haha. In this business you have to be super careful of who you get involved with. They're are so many scammers out there and I have had to deal with that unfortunately. They are willing to hurt anyone just so they can take your money and run. So my advice to anyone who is working towards this dream or any other dream in that matter..be careful of who you trust. Get to know their background before you do any kind of work with them.
Twaddle Magazine sifts through literally thousands of artist a month, just to find someone that drops our jaw. Meet Brittany Clarke. Her career is moving so fast, we were afraid she would join the untouchables before we could get this interview finished. Signed and well on her way to the top, it would take an act of god to stop this train. We have no doubt in our minds that she.....could.....go......all......the.....way!!!
What do you consider to be the biggest pivotal point in your career to date?

Getting signed to a record label. I never thought that a girl from an extremely small town could get that opportunity. I just know that I prayed about it every single day and I worked so hard along with everybody else who has helped me get to this point. Getting signed to a record label was such a big step in my career and so far it's been so great. They're all working hard to help me achieve me goal and I couldn't be thankful enough for that!

What live performance of yours really sticks in your mind and why?

It would probably have to be opening up for Craig Morgan this year at the Duquoin State Fair. The band and I got to perform at the Grand Stand where all the big names perform. It's so crazy because a couple years back I was in those stands watching all of my favorite artists and then I actually got to be up there on the stage looking at the crowd. It was such an amazing feeling and I hope to be able to get that opportunity again.

What is your advice to anybody just entering into the industry today?

I would have to say to definitely never give up. There are going to be so many ups and downs in this business, probably more downs. But that's just part of it. You got to pick yourself up and keep going. Don't let anyone tell you that you can't fulfill your dream because you can do whatever you set your mind to! Anything is possible :)
